Harbour MuseumThe Harbour Museum Society (Vereniging Museumhaven) is a sheltered port area in Amsterdam where 20 historical ships are docked. On the quays, old shipyard equipment is also on display. A complimentary brochure is available to accompany your walk down the quay.
Located between Science Center NEMO and the National Maritime Museum, The Harbour Museum ships range from clippers and luxury motorboats to tugboats. This historic port served both the navy and the Dutch East India Company merchant ships in the 17th century, and was a centre for internal shipping up to the 20th century. Anyone interested in maritime history will find it a delightful place for a leisurely stroll.
